Tee Shirts Anyone?
It’s been a while since we have ordered tee shirts, sweat shirts, or fleece jackets. Please contact Becki or Beth if you are interested.
On Sunday, July 16 the Men’s Club will get together after church to power wash the rectory. They will meet again a week later on Saturday, July 22 at 9:00 AM (and July 23 after church if necessary) to paint the rectory. Anyone wanting to help is invited.
McCarty Cemetery Cleanup
Parish members are returning with trowels in hand to the McCarty Cemetery. They are going to see if they can loosen/lift some of the headstones that have fallen and to try to clean off the headstone bases they found and measure them to see which headstones fit in them. They plan to meet on Tuesdays weather permitting.
St. Paul’s – Feeding Program
Our next feeding at St. Paul’s is September 24, 2017. Several times a year, volunteers from St. Matthew’s purchase, prepare and serve the hungry at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. This is an amazing outreach program that St. Paul’s has been providing for many years. They depend on the help of other churches and organizations to provide this service.
There is a Sign-up sheet in our Fellowship Hall if you are interested in volunteering to purchase the food, prepare the meal and/or help serve the meal.
Future feeding dates in 2017: September 24 and November 5
Save these dates! September 16th at 9 AM to 12 Noon we will be making Pasties. Scrapbooking day will be on October 7th. Scrapbooking, crafting, whatever you like to do. The cost is $10.00.
The Men’s Club meets as needed. Please check your Email regularly for notification of projects and meetings. Let us know if you would like to receive these emails. During the grass growing season, the Men’s Club gets together every Wednesday at 6:00 PM to mow the church and rectory lawns.
The next vestry meeting is September 17, 2017 after the Sunday morning service. Grab a goodie, a cup of coffee and we’ll see you in the meeting room.
